Marijke Fakasiieiki is a third generation in the UCC and has been an active member at churches in Washington, Oregon, Washington, D.C., and California. She received her Master of Divinity from Pacific School of Religion in 1998. She has served as a local UCC pastor in Tonasket, WA, has interned in the D.C. Justice and Witness Ministry Office, worked with the World Council of Churches in Geneva, Switzerland, served for six years with Church World Service organizing CROP Hunger Walks in Northern California, and currently works as a consultant with interfaith/ecumenical agencies and congregations, helping with fundraising, grant-writing, editing, publishing and events planning. She loves working with children and families, not only as the mother of three, but also because it is a lot of fun to share God's love for everyone. She loves giving Children's Sermons, teaching Sunday School and planning fun events for families. She is the partner of Ikani, a Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga Minister and Ph.D. student in Old Testament Studies at the Graduate Theological Union.
